Siveco China Wins MMS Contract for 10th of Ramadan Railway

Siveco China has won a contract to supply the Maintenance Management System (MMS) for the 10th of Ramadan Railway project in Egypt. Throughout 2019, Siveco China and China Huaxin conducted preliminary design for the MMS. The signing of the MMS contract in June 2020 takes the project to the delivery phase.

In August 2017, Egypt’s National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) signed a $1.24bn contract with a consortium of China Railway Group and AVIC International to build the 66 km interurban light rail line that will link Cairo with the 10th of Ramadan City.

In 2019, a consortium of CASCO and China Huaxin Post and Telecom Technologies Co. Ltd (China Huaxin) was awarded the signalling and communication contract for the light rail project.
