Alstom opens new site in Fez, Morocco

Alstom has inaugurated its new site in Fez during a ceremony chaired by the Minister of Industry, Trade and the Green and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy.

All 400 employees have moved from the old premises to the new site.

Facts about Alstom’s new site
  • total cost US$ 5.2 million
  • covers a surface of 34,200 m2
  • 102 tons of steel was used
  • equipped with 20 km of electrical cables, 1,700 m2 of windows and 120 solar panels.

The new site in Fez is intended to increase Alstom’s manufacturing and assembling capacity of electrical cables and cabinets which are installed on Alstom’s rolling stock delivered across the world.
